Pilot project on the Reference Construction Site Campus West

The Chair of Individualized Production (IP) and the Institute for Fluid Power Drives and Systems (ifas) aim to work together on the planning and installation of construction machine demonstrators and test areas for machine operation on the reference construction site Campus West. This create a basis for workshops on the automization and digitization for construction sites. In cooperation with the Bauindustrieverband NRW, students are given insights on current research topics such as digital environment detection and automazation of construction machines. The possible applications related to construction are also introduced and the students’ feedback from these workshops will be discussed together and evaluated how they can be integrated into the further development of the introduced technologies.
